James R. Dornak

Background:
Jim gained his initial experience as a 14 CFR PART 135 charter and corporate pilot before beginning his 20-year career with the United States Government as a pilot with the United States Customs Service.  During this time, he was an intercept pilot doing drug interdiction missions in the U.S. and Central and South America.  Jim was designated as a FAA examiner for the Customs Service’s fleet of 26 Citation jets.  As Training and Safety Officer, he was responsible for the development and implementation of training curriculums.  After 9 years, Jim transferred to the Federal Aviation Administration.  As a Training Center Program Manager (TCPM) and Principal Operations Inspector (POI) with the Federal Aviation Administration, he was responsible for the oversight and approval of 14 CFR Part 121, 125, 135 and 142 operators. 

 

With 20 years of government service, Jim accepted a Captain position with a major corporation flying a Gulfstream and a Global Express conducting mostly international flights.

Writing FAR 135 General Operations Manuals and General Maintenance Manuals.

Flying Proving runs for 135 certification, to include North Atlantic and Polar routes.

Writing International Operations Manuals.

Personnel and aircraft security programs and training.

Former Federal Law Enforcement Officer (9 years).

Former FAA Operations Inspector (11 years).

Airline Transport Pilot with type ratings for the Falcon 50 and 900, Gulfstream G-IV and G-V, Challenger 604 and Global Express.

Federal Agent training, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia.

FAA Air Carrier Inspector training, FAA Academy, Oklahoma City, OK.
